State Public Forum
A public forum was held on Tuesday June 1st from 1pm - 5pm at the Fort Logan Auditorium at 3529 W. Oxford Avenue. The purpose of this public forum was an opportunity to give input regarding changes proposed by our State government that may impact how your services are delivered in the future. Specifically, the possible outcome of this system redesign would be to separate case management (resource coordination) and other administrative functions from Community Centered Boards (CCBs) like DDRC and have the state, county or some other entity provide these activities. Access to services, local collaboration and local funding could be affected. This proposal is due to the potential for conflict of interest when a CCB has multiple roles in providing administration, case management, contract management and service provision. As you may know, CCBs were established by law to have these multiple roles as an alternative to institutions and to provide one local entity for individuals to receive such services in their community. DDRC has served individuals and families for over 45 years and has implemented many safeguards to address the potential for conflict of interest.
